We can make our prayers more effective in bringing the results by
adopting Awareness Chanting technique in our prayers. Awareness Chanting refers to chanting of any one Name of God
with faith that consciousness of our self is sustained and controlled by the
all-pervading universal Consciousness of God. Awareness Chanting results in the merger of consciousness of
our self into the universal Consciousness to make our prayers more effective in
bringing the results.
Thus Surrender Prayer presented below
has been found to be effective in bringing the results due to the incorporation
of Awareness Chanting technique. This Prayer has been designed
exclusively for the devotees of Shirdi Sai Baba.
The devotee is required to read the Surrender
Prayer given below once, and then chant any one holy Name of God for a few
minutes to complete the Prayer.
Surrender Prayer
1.
Let
us bow to the holy Feet of Baba to get the consciousness of our self merged
into the universal Consciousness of God so as to get ourselves freed from our
sins and get our prayers fulfilled.
2.
Let
us bow to the holy Feet of Baba Who told Mrs.Tarkhad, “Eating that lovely bread I am heartily contented and I am still
belching. The dog which you saw before meals and to which you gave the piece of
bread is one with Me, so also other creatures are. I am roaming in their forms.
He who sees Me in all these creatures is My beloved.”

Let
us bow to the holy Feet of Baba Who said, “You need not go far in search of Me. Barring your name and form, there
exists in you, as well as in all beings, a sense of Being or Consciousness of
Existence. That is Myself. Knowing this, you see Me inside yourself, as well as
in all beings.”
4.
Let
us bow to the holy Feet of Baba Who told Balaram Mankar, after giving him
darsanam in Machindragad, “You thought that
I was in Shirdi with a body composed of the five elements and three and a half
cubits in length, and not outside of it. Now you see and determine for yourself
whether the Person you see here now is the same you saw at Shirdi.”

Let
us bow to the holy Feet of Baba Who told Megha, on his enquiry as to how Baba
entered his closed room, “I require no
door to enter. I have no form nor any extension; I always live everywhere. I
carry on, as a wire-puller, all the actions of the man who trusts Me and merges
in Me.”
6.
Let
us bow to the holy Feet of Baba Who said, “Be wherever you like, do whatever
you choose, remember this well that all what you do is known to Me. I am the
Inner Ruler of all and seated in their hearts. I envelope all the creatures,
the movable and immovable world. I am the Controller – the wire-puller of the
show of this universe. I am the Mother – origin of all beings – the Harmony of
three Gunas, the Propeller of all senses, the Creator, Preserver and Destroyer.
Nothing will harm him who turns his attention towards Me but Maya will lash him
who forgets Me. All the insects, ants, the visible, movable and immovable world
is My body.”

Let
us bow to the holy Feet of Baba Who said, “There will never be any dearth
regarding food and clothes in any of My devotees’ homes. It is my special
characteristic that I always look to and provide for the welfare of those
devotees who worship Me whole-heartedly with their minds ever fixed on Me.”
8.
Let
us bow to the holy Feet of Baba Who told Mrs.Khaparde whose young son was down
with plague, showing four buboes on His body, “See, how I have to suffer for My
devotees; their difficulties are Mine.”
9.
Let
us bow to the holy Feet of Baba Who said, “Believe Me, though I pass
away, My bones in My tomb will give you hope and confidence. Not only Myself
but My tomb would be speaking, moving and communicating with those who surrender
themselves whole-heartedly to Me. Do not be anxious that I would
be absent from you. You will hear My bones speaking and discussing your
welfare.”

Let us bow to the holy Feet of Baba to get the
consciousness of our self merged into the universal Consciousness of God so as
to get ourselves freed from our sins and get our prayers fulfilled.
